Introducing AL

Everyone needs some hippie friends, and AL could fit into that category. She's a lovely and smart lady, yes, AL is a girl, and loves spending a nice sunday finger painting, listening to music and making homemade pizzas with her girls. I've known her a long time, and know that she isn't just limited to this hippie label, and she's every open to new music despite her love for her DJ friends in baltimore and all of those jam bands. I'm also just putting her comments in red, rather than my comments.
one or two bands/songs that you listened to this last week:

Damn Right! (Baltimore based local band); Bird and the Bee; Gorillaz

Yes, the Gorillaz new album titled "Plastic Beach" is dirty. Will save the gorillaz for a separate post, but will say that their new album has some good featured MC's (the Mos Def song being the single I believe) and as usual crazy music videos.

Damn Right! - ok, AL, ok... lovin' her electronica music. Plenty of synth to go around as well, this type of music, though, as I'm sure AL can attest, needs to be heard live. And maybe with the help of some substances haha.

The Bird and Bee. Impressive, and something I don't think I really listened to before... You must respect a someone who does an album dedicated to Hall and Oates. She's got a lovely voice, and they can put out some non-traditional but catchy pop songs. It is widely known I love female singers, and Bird and Bee do not disappoint.

There we go, AL - how was the show?

Animal Collective - big time indie hitters right here, and many of you will recognize their hit "My Girls" ... a few different harmonies interplay over a trippy synthesizer loop. This is a band I've wanted to see live for a while, and if you haven't listened to this band yet, give it a try!
